What people ask before they book.

Pricing, timelines, permits and what actually happens to a crack in the shell. If your question isn’t here, call and ask, it’s usually faster than reading.

The most common questions

Pricing, timing, and what a remodel involves.

Pool plastering runs $6,000 to $16,000. A complete remodel covering plaster, tile, coping, deck and water features runs $30,000 to $90,000, depending on the plaster you choose, the size of the pool and the scope of the work. We price the work up front and itemise it.

Repairs take one to three days. Remodelling takes three to ten weeks depending on the weather and the scope. Texas gives us usable weather in every season, but any season can bring a delay.

Because plaster that is filled and swum in straight away does not last. We let it cure for ten days, then come back for four more weeks to keep the water balanced while the surface finishes setting. That is what protects the colour and keeps the finish smooth.

Plaster, tile, coping and leaks. Those four account for most of what we are called out to.

There are three plasters: white marble, quartz aggregate and pebble aggregate. Tile comes in standard or upgraded ranges. All of it is on the sample wall in our Carrollton store, so you can hold it before you choose it.

Depending on what is moving and why, a crack gets sealed with epoxy, foam, staples or hydraulic cement. We diagnose the cause before we pick the method.

For repairs and remodelling, most of the time yes.

Yes. Computer controls, energy-efficient pumps, heaters and lights all reduce running costs, and we fit them as part of a remodel or on their own.

Not in most municipalities around here for remodelling or repair work.

Altering the original shell is not something we recommend. Benches, sun benches and sun decks are all available and are the usual way to change how a pool is used.

Yes. The warranties are listed at the bottom of every proposal we write, so you can read them before you sign anything.

Weekly, to proper chemical standards. That is what keeps a new surface looking new.
A pool under a navy mesh safety cover in late autumn

Texas gives you usable weather in every season, this is what late autumn looks like here, cover on and waiting. A few more questions, mostly about timing and what happens around the job itself.

A few more, if you’re deciding on timing

Scheduling, landscaping, and the follow-up.

Can you update the pool to include modern features like LED lighting or a new filtration system?

Yes. LED lighting and an updated filtration system are common additions during a remodel, and either one can also be added on its own without touching the rest of the pool.

What is the best time of year to do pool repairs or remodeling?

In Texas, all seasons work. Weather can bring a delay in any of them, so the season mostly affects scheduling rather than whether the work can happen at all.

Will the remodeling process affect my landscaping or backyard?

It will affect the landscaping and backyard within the area the remodel actually touches. Equipment and materials need room to work, so we plan the footprint with you before we start.

How do you ensure the water chemistry is balanced after repairs?

By testing it and adjusting it. That is exactly what the four weeks of follow-up after a plaster job are for, and it is also available on its own as a weekly service.
